Hip Hop ambassadors SIN Cru present Urban SINfonie from Saturday 1st June - the closing battle party and battle jam brings together the skills learned from the SoHHA workshops for a true Hip Hop culture experience.
The B-boy and Popping battles attract some of the best dancers in the UK & Europe and with legendary BBoy Maurizio The Next One from Italy judging this year's contest it's a special year. Plenty of girls take part and get involved in the battles too, and Nikita is there to support.
Icelandic ripper Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir has had a pretty amazing time of it recently and none better than the Black Bear Open. Set in Björkliden it is a slopestyle com laden with all the natural backcountry inspiration as features including trees as rails and landings. She bagged first place in the Play and Spray session and second in the big comp.
A few days later the Grills, Skills and Box Bash at her home mountain saw 50-60 people gathered for a whole lot of fun features and BBQ. Then Tärnaby for a spring break session where she met with some fellow female rippers and filmed a new rail edit.
We're eagerly waiting on a new edit from Ylfa, which has been shot and edited and awaiting launch. She is part of a 7 strong girls snowboard crew whose purpose is to ride hard and inspire other girls riders and get more girls into the sport. Watch...this...space.....
Snowboarder Ana Rumiha recently returned from the beautiful Croatian coastline after a cycling holiday on the island of Hvar. Charged with tan and lust for snow, she's back in Dachstein for a month kicking off with coaching at the girly camp and spring shredding ahead. We'll have some of her snowcation photos soon, for now we can just be envious of her sun snaps.
The UK's Faye Young has been enjoying Snowboard Spring Break in Austria where the best in the snowboard industry gather to showcase and test the new FW13-14 gear and hardgoods. The crew including Julia Baumgartner, Aline Bock and Conny Bleicher headed to Davos to play and shoot their entry for the MBM Monster Sessoin Video. On day 2 Julia dislocated her elbow, but still managed to get some moves in and stayed super positive all week. We're pleased to report her cast is now off and she's on the mend!

After a debut collaboration with last summer's streetwear collection, we invited artist Satha Ranjana to delve deeper into this season's latest collection with her influences of the natural world. She immersed straight into the mystical world beneath the waves. Expressing parallel emotions, on the one hand depth, darkness and a sense of the unknown whilst the other softer, translucent and dancing with light, as a result there are two very different prints that continue the journey to the bottom of the sea and our inspiration for summer.
Freestyle coach Sian Davies only started snowboarding three years ago but already her passion for snowboarding is inspiring others around her through a series of ‘Just Chicks’ clinics with Maverix, supported by Sputnik Snowboard store and Nikita. Determined to get girls confidently riding the park, whether a first timer or improving your skills it’s all about having a go. Sometimes you just need to get some sun and this is exactly what Ana Rumiha did, for three days of it in Croatia. She sailed to Brac island, recharged her long life super A Grade batteries and went back to a Slovenian winter. She’s now in Vogel picking up some lines with her friends. Making the most of travel.

Shortly after returning from the World Cup in the Czech Rep and doing her first jumps post injury, Elena Koenz reported that Sierra Nevada’s World Cup comp, the last of the season, was cancelled due to bad weather. She’s now back in Switzerland, enjoying riding the rest of the winter in Laax, Livigno and other neighbouring resorts – she’s been practicing fs and bs 720s and pretty stoked since she’s doing better now than before her heel injury. The Blue Tomato & Nikita Girls Shred Session went down in Kings Park Hochkonig at the end of March with over 50 snowboarders and freeskiers there to enjoy a girls only session, pro coaching from Vanessa Waldenhofer and Ana Rumiha, test the new Nikita Snowboards and take part in the film and photoshoot session. Good times were had and it was great to see so many girls rocking the park!
