Icelandic
ripper Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir has had a pretty amazing time of it recently and
none better than the Black Bear Open. Set in Björkliden it is a
slopestyle com laden with all the natural backcountry inspiration as features
including trees as rails and landings. She bagged first place in the Play
and Spray session and second in the big comp.
A few days later the Grills, Skills and Box Bash at her
home mountain saw 50-60 people gathered for a whole lot of fun features and
BBQ. Then Tärnaby for a spring break session where she met with some fellow female rippers and filmed a new rail edit.
We're eagerly waiting on a new edit from Ylfa, which has been shot and edited and awaiting launch. She is part of a 7 strong girls snowboard crew whose purpose is to ride hard and inspire other girls riders and get more girls into the sport. Watch...this...space.....
